Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

English “bondage” in Romans 8:15 above and in Romans 8:21 to follow were both translated from Greek noun 1397 douleia. God’s “election” who “have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear” in Romans 8:15 are segregated from those who “also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God” in Romans 8:21. 

Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

The Apostle Paul is the “he” in “But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel” with English “chosen” being translated from Greek noun 1589 ekloge which was translated into English “election” in Romans 11:5, 7 and 28. Romans 11:5’s “Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace”  are those God said in Romans 11:4  “I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal”. Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

God’s “seven thousand” “election” are God’s “saints” God’s “firstfruits” “the children of God” in Romans 8:16 and “the sons of God” in Romans 8:14 above are the “our” and “we” in Romans 8:16.

English “ye shall” in Romans 8:13 “which shall”  in Romans 8:18 and “things to come” in Romans 8:38 were all translated from Greek verb 3195 mello which is a strengthened form of Greek verb 3199 melei in the sense of knowing and caring about a future event especially when God performs the action of Greek verb 3195 mello as is the case with “the world to come” in Matthew 12:32 and even more insightfully with “was for” and “shall” in Matthew 11:12-15 and Matthew 17:10-13 respectively. Greek transliterated Elias emboldened in this paragraph is Hebrew transliterated Elijah emboldened in this paragraph. Elias is Elijah. John the Baptist fulfilled the role of Elijah [as prophesied in Luke 1:11-17] for God’s “seven thousand” “election” who receive “the spirit  and  power  of Elias”/Elijah and of Jesus Christ during this earth age which “the rest” will receive during the “thousand years” “Lord’s day”. Matthew 11:12-15 says “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force” “ For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John” “ And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come” “He that hath ears to hear, let him hear”. Matthew 17:10-13 says “And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come”? “ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things” “But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them” “Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist“. Malachi 4:5 says “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:” The “day of the Lord” of Malachi 4:5 is also “the Lord’s day” of Revelation 1:10 and the “day of the Lord Jesus” of 1Corinthians 5:5 and 2Corinthians 1:14 and “day of our Lord Jesus” of  1Corinthians 1:8 and “he hath appointed a day” in Acts 17:28-31 and the “one day” of 2Peter 3:8-10 “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up”. But beloved be not ignorant of this one thing “the Lord’s day” is the “thousand years” of 2 Peter 3:8-10 which is also the “thousand years” of Revelation 20:2-7 God’s “seven thousand” “election” are the “us-ward” of 2 Peter 3:8-10 “they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years” which will occur between this earth age and the eternal age that follows. “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour” “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth”.

English “mortify” was translated from Greek verb 2289 thanatoo which was translated into “killed” in Romans 8:36 and in  “As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed” and into “become dead” in “Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God”. Flesh thoughts and feelings kill spiritual life. God’s spiritual thoughts and ways displace flesh thoughts and feelings and kill the flesh while chosen human beings remain physically alive.

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

English “after” in Romans 8:13 was translated from Greek preposition 2596 kata meaning down in the genitive case as grammatical objects are down from their grammatical subjects. Greek preposition 2596 kata was 107 times translated into English “according to” because a grammatical object’s thoughts are according to the thoughts of their grammatical subject.

Romans 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

English “debtors” was translated from Greek noun 3781 opheiletes being all God’s children, everyone ever born, relative to the price God paid in the embodiment of Jesus Christ on a Roman cross. Greek noun 5092 time is value relative to the price paid on the cross. Greek noun 5092 time was translated into “price” in Matthew 27:3-9  1Corinthians 6:20 and 1Corinthians 7:23 into “honour” in Romans 2:6-13 Romans 9:21 2Timothy 2:15-21 1Peter 1:7 and Revelation 21:22-27. If you “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” in every verse containing Greek words 3781-3786 and 5622-5624 whereby God can translate all those words for you and tell you everything you need to know to expunge your debt and most of what you need to know to bring God’s will to fruition.

The Greek preposition 2596 kata that was translated into English “after” in Romans 8:12 above and 8:13 were fully translated in prior posts. If you encounter an English emboldened word that is not defined refer to prior posts.

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

English “quicken” was translated from Greek verb 2227 zoopoieo meaning to make spiritually alive. Greek verb 2227 zoopoieo was translated into “be made alive” in “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive” into “giveth life” in “Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life” into “have given life” in “Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law” into “quickeneth” in   “I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession” “For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will” and “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”.

English “mortal” in Romans 8:11 above was translated from Greek adjective 2349 thnetos describing flesh mortal bodies without God’s Spirit.  Greek adjective 2349 thnetos was also translated into English “mortal” in 1Corinthians 15:53 and 54 “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality” “So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory” and into “mortality” in “For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life”. English “clothed upon” refers to God’s Spirit which reflects God’s light/doxa/ “glory” in our “celestial bodies”. Please note that “the glory of the terrestrial” in 1Corinthians 15:40 was 410 years ago inexplicably mistranslated by a flesh human being from Greek adjective 1919 epigeios correctly translated into “earthly” in “This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish” and in “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens”. English words “this tabernacle” above are our flesh biodegradable corruptible mortal “earthly” bodies. Judgment of the flesh translator who 410 years ago changed God’s adjective 1919 epigeios into “the glory of the terrestrial” will be left to God. God’s “election” of whom God said “I have reserved to myself” become immortal by retaining God’s spirit through this earth age thereby achieving “the first resurrection” of Revelation 20:5 & 6 while everyone other than God’s “election” are the spiritually “dead” of Revelation 20:5 and are susceptible to the spiritual “second death” of Revelation 20:6. “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed” “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed” “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality”. If you understand none of God’s other biblical spiritual truth understand Greek 5480 charagma and understand that the “beast” in Revelation 13:16, 13:17, 14:9, 14:11, 15:2, 16:2, 19:20 and 20:4 is any grammatical subject other than God, which is every flesh human grammatical subject other than Jesus Christ. English “device” in Acts 17:29 was translated from Greek noun 1761 enthymesis being flesh thoughts while English “art” in Acts 17:29 was translated from Greek noun 5078 techne being the product of flesh thoughts and feelings which this eighth chapter of Romans tells us is all bad all the time. God’s “election” will cause the rest of creation, every other human being ever born, “to come unto the knowledge of the truth” because “they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years” between the end of this earth age and the eternal earth age that follows. The credibility of God’s “election” will be greatly enhanced during the “thousand years” by the visibility of their light/doxa/glory. The crux of the bible and God’s will is this: “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour” “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth”. These are two of the most accurately translated English verses in the bible. Please study every verse containing every Greek word in 2Timothy 2:15-21 and 1Timothy 2:1-6 whereby God can define each Greek word for you. English “life” in 2Corinthians 5:4 above was translated from Greek noun 2222 zoe being spiritual life in above context.  Greek noun 2222 zoe was translated into “life” in “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting” “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life”. English “on” in previous bible verse John 6:47 was translated from Greek preposition 1519 eis indicating the point entered of place, time, or  purpose of thought. Greek preposition 1519 eis appears in the bible 1,774 times most often between various tenses of English “believe” and English proper nouns “Jesus” and “God”. Greek preposition 1519 eis is not a casual belief in Jesus and God.  Greek preposition 1519 eis is entering into the same place, time, and purpose of thought of Jesus and God. Flesh translators some 410 years ago mistranslated Greek preposition 1519 eis into casual English “in” and “on” are among the most egregious mistranslations in the bible and exemplifies why the bible instructs us to “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”.

Romans 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

English “the body is dead” above is figurative subsequent to flesh thoughts and feelings being dead in deference to God’s spiritual thoughts and ways while we are yet in a flesh live bios/body. Please search [dead with Christ] to confirm what I say.

English “righteousness” was translated from Greek noun 1343 dikaiosune being right in union with God’s definition of right.

Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

When Jesus walked the earth, no one called him Jesus. His disciples and everyone who knew him called him by his Hebrew proper noun H3091 Yehowshuwa`. All Hebrew names have meaning. Hebrew proper noun H3091 Yehowshuwa` means Yehovah’s Savior. English “Christ” throughout the bible was translated from Greek adjective 5547 christos describing and qualifying God’s first anointed. Greek adjective 5547 christos is from Greek verb 5548 chrio meaning to anoint. Greek noun 5545 chrisma is the unction or anointing itself. Flesh Old Testament/covenant/contract/law anointing was with flesh physical olive oil. Spiritual New Testament/covenant/contract/constitution/law anointing is with the Spirit of God. Christ is the first anointed with God’s Spirit. The finite number God’s “election” of whom God said “I have reserved to myself” during this earth age are also anointed with God’s Spirit “the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded”. I suggest to you that “the Jews” above saw God in the embodiment of Jesus Yehowshuwa` meaning Yehovah’s Savior and that Abraham saw God in the embodiment of “Melchizedek” being Hebrew proper noun H4442 Malkiy-Tsedeq meaning King of the Righteous both being one and the same. I have studied every verse fore and aft containing Hebrew proper noun H4442 Malkiy-Tsedeq and Greek proper noun 3198 melchisedek and have concluded, based on Jesus’ testimony in John 8:56-58, that Jesus is Greek proper noun 3198 melchisedek and Hebrew proper noun H4442 Malkiy-Tsedeq. Please “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” by studying Matthew 17:1-13, Mark 9:1-13 and Luke 9:18-36 to understand that God is able to traverse time and space and was able to take Peter, John and James with him to “the kingdom of God” “mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels” and back again. The bible convinces me that God came to earth in the embodiment of Jesus Christ 2,021 years ago and in the embodiment of Melchizedek approximately 4,100 years ago. 

Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

English “please” was translated from Greek verb 700 aresko from Greek verb 142 airo meaning to lift up. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts”. God does indeed lift up God’s direct grammatical objects to God’s higher level by displacing their flesh thoughts and feelings with God’s spiritual thoughts and ways so they no longer “are in the flesh” so they can indeed please God. Greek verb 700 aresko was translated into English “pleasing” in “But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts” into “may please” in “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier”. English “life” in previous bible sentence was translated  from Greek noun 979 bios which is the etymology of English prefix bio- as found in biology. Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

English “enmity” was translated from Greek noun 2189 echthra being hatred from Greek verb 2190 echthros meaning to hate, both being the antithesis of God. “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love”.

English “against” in Romans 8:7 above was mistranslated from Greek preposition 1519 eis denoting the point entered into of place, time or purpose of mind. Greek preposition 1519 eis appears most often between various tenses of English “believe” and either “God” or “Jesus”. Entering into the place, time and purpose of “God” and “Jesus” is a far cry from a casual belief “in” “God” and “Jesus”. Greek preposition 1519 eis in the context of Romans 8:7 is far more egregious than not believing into God’s spiritual thoughts. It means to transfer one’s own flesh thoughts of hate unto God. There is no greater hatred than believing God is going to burn his own children like bacon in excruciating pain for all eternity. Do self professed born again Christians you know profess that human beings who do not believe what they themselves believe are going to burn in hell for all eternity? English false narrative “hell” has been translated from Hebrew noun H7585 she’owl meaning grave, from Greek noun 1067 geenna being the valley of the son of Hinnom containing Jerusalem’s garbage pit where Jesus instructed us to cast any flesh member [Mt 5:29 James 3:6] that offends God’s Spirit and from Greek noun 86 hades from a compound of Greek 1 a negative particle synonymous with English un or not and Greek verb 1492 eido meaning to see through the eyes and know through the thoughts of one’s grammatical subject. Greek noun 86 hades is the impossibility of seeing through God’s eyes and knowing through God’s thoughts when a grammatical object has any grammatical subject other than God. God’s complete definition of Greek noun 86 hades in previous sentence consists of 23 English words. King James’ word for word translation directive inadvertently hosed up original Greek and Hebrew translations but we must always remember that Jesus did not come to earth to bring peace “but rather division” and “the word of the LORD” is designed that everyone other than God’s election be “snared and taken” from God’s process.  Jesus’ reference to Greek noun 1067 geenna, being the valley of the son of Hinnom was intended to draw us to God’s words in Old Testament Jeremiah 32:35 “And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin”.  

English “subject to” in Romans 8:7 above was translated from Greek verb 5293 hupotasso. Please remember that a grammatical subject performs a verb’s action and their grammatical objects receive the action performed. Greek verb 5293 hupotasso was translated into English “put under” “put in subjection under” “be subject unto” “submit self to” and “subject to”.  Greek verb 5293 hupotasso is from a compound of Greek preposition 5259 hupo meaning under as grammatical objects are under their grammatical subject and Greek verb 5021 tasso which was translated into English “appointed” in “And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said unto me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things which are appointed for thee to do” and into “ordained” in “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God”. English “be subject unto” in previous bible sentence was translated from Greek verb 5293 hupotasso. God is the grammatical subject performing the actions of Greek verb 5293 hupotasso and Greek verb 5021 tasso in this paragraph. God’s “election” are “chosen” by God to be the exclusive recipients of the action of Greek verb 5293 hupotasso and Greek verb 5021 tasso subsequent to the spiritual New Testament/covenant/contract/constitution/law of God predicated upon both parties performing their obligations under mutual agreement.  The Spirit of Jesus Christ mediates the contract. “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” “Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time”  “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him” “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour”; “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth”. I am receiving an “unction” to explain the English name Jesus Christ. English proper noun “Jesus” was translated from Greek proper noun 2424 iesous from Hebrew proper noun H3091 Yhowshuwa` pronounced yeh-ho-shoo’-ah. When Yhowshuwa` walked the earth no one called him either Jesus or iesous. English Christ was translated from Greek adjective 5547 christos from Greek verb 5548 chrio subjectively meaning to anoint with God’s Holy Spirit and objectively means to be anointed with God’s Holy Spirit. Greek verb 5548 chrio was translated into “anointed” in 2Corinthians 1:21 “Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God”. Greek noun 5545 chrisma is the anointing itself. Greek noun 5545 chrisma was translated into English “unction” and “anointing” in 1John 2:19-27 “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us” “But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things” “I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth” “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? Acts 9:15 and John 15:16 confirm that the Apostle Paul and Jesus’ other disciples are among God’s “seven thousand” “election”. When you see the English bible words “us” “we” and “our” writers of the bible are not writing to grammatical objects of the world’s 4,351 religions. They are writing to God’s “seven thousand” “election” as documented in Acts 9:15 and John 15:16.
