God will call out a specific group of “proud” human beings who erroneously profess themselves born again when we get to James 1:17.

Thirdly, my truth is covered and hidden when English word meanings change over time, so check out the etymology of the English word detest”. The etymology of English detest is from Latin detestari which literally means to de-testify. In short, Luke 14:26 says that before we can even begin to be God’s learner/disciple we must first de-testify every human being on earth [excluding Jesus Christ] including our own soul.
