James 1:14  But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Greek verb 3987 peirao subjectively means to test while it figuratively and objectively means to be assayed spiritually, as gold and other precious metals and stones are assayed physically. God, in James 1:14 is going to expose to us a culprit of our temptations and tribulations. I am disappointed by my dictionary’s “impossible to challenge” definition of the English adjective unassailable which identifies and qualifies human beings who can not be assayed which is patently false. God is not the source of temptation. God is the assayer of “seven thousand” “election” who overcome the temptation of flesh grammatical subjects during this earth age.

Modern days begin at 12 AM. When Moses and Jesus walked the earth a new day began at sunset and a new year and first month of the year began at the vernal equinox that was at 10:06 PM Central time March 19,2024 so the ^“fourteenth day of the first month at even” will begin April 2,2024 after sunset. English “Easter” in Acts 12:4 was grossly and intentionally mistranslated from Greek neuter noun 3957 pascha that was 28 times correctly translated into English “passover” and was one time intentionally mistranslated into English “Easter”. 1Corinthians 5:7-8 says “Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us” “Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth”. Leviticus 23:5 says “In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD’S passover”. John 1:36 says “And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God”!  God in the embodiment of Jesus Christ became our “passover” and our “passover” “lamb” and we can still honor our “LORD” as instructed “by an ordinance for ever” with a little wine and unleavened bread April 2,2024 after sunset.

The English words “believe” and “faith” are predicates of the Greek verb 3982 peitho meaning to persuade. If anyone other than God performs the action of Greek verb 3982 peitho their grammatical objects are not faithful to God and their belief and faith become immaterial to God. The English words “of those that believe” do not reflect God’s spiritual truth but rather the flesh thoughts and feelings of a flesh human being that covered and hid God’s spiritual truth being those that are faithful which is entirely different criteria than God’s Greek words that were transliterated into  English “chosen” and “faithful”  in Revelation 17:14 “These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful”. We should understand that God is not the source of flesh human being’s temptations, tests, tribulations, putting to proof, etcetera. We human beings are the source but God is the score keeper and ultimate judge. Your understanding of God’s definition of Greek verb 5083 tereo will be enhanced by following God’s “study” directive in 2Timothy 2:15, 19-21 and then study Ephesians 4:1-6 and Revelation 22:7-19 where Greek verb 5083 tereo was translated into English “to keep” and “which keep” respectively.
