Greek suffix 4862 sun denoting union; in this context, denotes union with God’s definition of right. Greek feminine noun 3809 paideia was translated into English “chastening” in Hebrews 12:7 & 11 and into “chastisement,” in Hebrews 12:8. English “thereby” in Hebrews 12:11 was intentionally mistranslated from Greek preposition 1223 dia meaning through as the channel of an act and Greek generic pronoun 846 autos which was 1,952 times translated into English “him” and in the context of Hebrews 12:11“him” is God. Ask yourself who would benefit from changing God’s true words through God into the ambiguous adjective “thereby”?
