Romans 15:22 For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you.

English “I have been” “hindered” emboldened in Romans 15:22 was translated from Greek verb 1465 egkopto which literally means to cut into but was translated into “tedious” in Acts 24:4 in the sense of Paul not wanting to cut into the time of Felix. The book of Romans to this point has been a condensed version of the entire bible subsequent to the Romans being first exposed to God’s word during the lifetimes of the apostles. The Eastern Roman Emperor Constantine first commissioned translators to translate the letters of the apostles into a Greek New Testament and translate the Old Testament from Hebrew into Greek in 325 AD. The remaining dozen verses in the 15^th chapter of Romans appear to be primarily dedicated to Paul’s trip to Rome rather than Paul teaching the gospel of Christ. Romans 15:24 Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.

I bring this to your attention only because Greek verb 4311 propempo was translated into English “they accompanied” in Acts 20:25-38 which you might find insightful relative to Paul’s warning the Ephesians of false religions which would fill the void after Paul’s departure.

Romans 15:25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.

The crux of what Paul is saying is that he is delivering a contribution from the people of Macedonia and Achaia unto the other apostles in Jerusalem but God is still teaching.
