Greek noun 2347 thlipsis was indeed translated into the “great tribulation” purported by some of 4,351 religions alphabetically listed by Adherents.com. Greek noun 2347 thlipsis  is not as some of 4,351 religions professed. Greek noun 2347 thlipsis was translated into “tribulations” in “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience” as well as “affliction” in “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory”; inferring that “the tribulation” is not as traumatic as religions profess.

Greek noun 2347 thlipsis was translated into English “tribulation” in “Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God” Greek noun 2347 thlipsis stems from Greek verb 2346 thlibo which was translated into English “narrow” in “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” into “We are troubled” in “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair” which directly relates to “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us”. Do not fear because God has a process pursuant to God’s will. “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom”.

In this context “it” is “our abode” with “our” being “Father” “Son” “Spirit” and “Word” and their “abode” being the “election” God said “I have reserved to myself” “come unto the knowledge of the truth”  during this earth age/aion “the rest” will “come unto the knowledge of the truth” during the “thousand years” “Lord’s day” “one day is with the Lord as a thousand years” “the day of our Lord Jesus Christ” “the day of the Lord Jesus” “the day of Jesus Christ” the “election” God said “I have reserved to myself” “shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years”. “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour” “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth” during the “thousand years” “Lord’s day” that will occur between this earth age and the eternal earth age that follows.

Matthew 24:22 King James Version (KJV)  22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

English “there should no” in Matthew 24:22 above was grossly mistranslated from Greek particle 3756 ou  correctly translated 1,210 times into English “not”. Greek particle 302 an denoting a supposition indicating that something can or could occur on certain conditions. In the context of Matthew 24:22 above and Mark 13:20 below “should” is a reasonable translation but “shall” is a better translation. Greek adjective 3956 pas was 918 times correctly translated into English “all”. Greek adjective 3956 pas immediately follows Greek particle 3756 ou in both Matthew 24:22 above and Mark 13:20 below.

English “for” in Matthew 24:22 above and Mark 13:20 below were translated from Greek preposition 1223 dia [denoting the channel of an act] was 88 times correctly translated into English “through”.

English three words “the elect’s sake” in Matthew 24:22 above and Mark 13:20 below were mistranslated from single Greek adjective 1588 eklektos describing and qualifying God’s “chosen” noted in Mark 13:20 below.

Correctly translated Matthew 24:22 says: And except those days should be shortened, not all flesh shall be saved: but through the elect those days shall be shortened.

Mark 13:20 King James Version (KJV)  ²⁰ And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

Correctly translated Mark 13:20 says: And except that the Lord had shortened those days, not all flesh shall be saved: but through the elect, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

English “hath chosen” in Mark 13:20 above was translated from Greek verb 1586 eklegomai which was also translated into “made choice” and “chose”. Greek adjective 1588 eklektos was translated into English “elect” and “chosen”. Greek noun 1589 ekloge was translated into English “election” and “chosen”. It is necessary to study every verse containing these three Greek words and identify grammatical object and grammatical subject in each verse to understand God’s “election“. Greek verb 1586 eklegomai, Greek adjective 1588 eklektos which was translated into English “elect” and “chosen” as well as Greek noun 1589 ekloge which was translated into English “election” and “chosen” will be further defined in future posts.

English “those days” in Matthew 24:22 and Mark 13:20 above refer to the “tribulation” noted in Matthew 24:21 and “affliction” of Mark 13:19. Both “tribulation” and “affliction” were translated from Greek noun 2347 thlipsis which will be fully defined in my next post.

English “him” in Acts 17:31 was translated from Greek pronoun 846 autos which was also translated into “them” in Matthew 4:19 Revelation 7:17 8:2 11:5 20:4 22:5 and many verses in between. English “that man” and “him” in Acts 17:31 certainly may be correct but the primary topic of Acts 17:24-31 is “the offspring of God”. The “election” God said “I have reserved to myself” “had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands” “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years”. None of God’s “election” will know if they “shall be priests of God” until after they take their last flesh breath but it is conceivable “that man” and “him” in Acts 17:24-31 could possibly be “those men” and “them” in Acts 17:31.

Greek verb 2476 histemi exemplifies the importance of identifying grammatical subject and object. When a grammatical subject performs the action of Greek verb 2476 histemi it is translated into English words “put” “bring” “appoint” “establish” “place” “lay” “set” etcetera. The English verb “covenanted” applies to both grammatical subject and object because it is a contract between both. English “he will” in Acts 17:31 was translated from Greek verb 3195 mello. Grammatical subjects perform the future action of Greek verb 3195 mello. Grammatical objects of grammatical subjects other than God have already received the biblical action of Greek verb 3195 mello performed by their grammatical subjects. Grammatical objects of God will receive the action of Greek verb 3195 mello when God performs the future action of Greek verb 3195 mello which was translated into English “the world to come” in Matthew 12:32 into “shall” in Matthew 16:27 “he will” in Acts 17:31 “there shall be” in Acts 24:15 “that which is to come” in Ephesians 1:21 “that which is to come” in 1Timothy 4:8 “shall” in 2Timothy 4:1 “to come” in Hebrews 2:5 “the world to come” in Hebrews 6:5 “to come” in Hebrews 9:11 and “he shall begin” in Revelation 10:7.

English “the world” in Acts 17:31 was translated from Greek noun 3625 oikoumene. English “world” in the New Testament has been translated from Greek noun 165 aion being an earth age, Greek noun 1093 ge being earth, Greek noun 2889 kosmos being the earth and it’s inhabitants, Greek verb 3195 mello is God’s plan for the future when God is the grammatical subject. Greek verb 3195 mello was translated into “the world to come”. English “world” in the New Testament was also translated from Greek noun 3625 oikoumene which encompasses the inhabitants of earthly kingdoms as found in Luke 2:1, Luke 4:5, Acts 11:28, Acts 17:6, Acts 19:27, Acts 24:5, Revelation 12:9 and Revelation 16:14.  Greek noun 3625 oikoumene also encompasses the inhabitants of God’s kingdom, pursuant to God’s will and future process “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him”. Greek noun 3625 oikoumene applies to God’s kingdom of heaven in Matthew 24:14 Luke 21:26-27 Acts 17:31 Romans 10:18 Hebrews 1:6 Hebrews 2:5 and Revelation 3:10.

English “whereof he hath given” in Acts 17:31 was translated from Greek verb 3930 parecho meaning to render what one holds near. The reason I am correcting “whereof he hath given” is because a flesh translator not chosen by God mistranslated God’s future performance of Greek verb 3930 parecho into the past tense “whereof he hath given”. It is not possible for either Jesus or Jesus’ “many brethren” “the sons of God” to “hath given” “faith” to all human beings because flesh death has segregated God’s children into heaven and earth since the beginning of God’s creation. The only logical process to render the faith one holds near to all human beings is “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him”.      

English “assurance” in Acts 17:31 was once mistranslated from Greek noun 4102 pistis  which was 239 times correctly translated into English “faith”. Both Greek noun 4102 pistis and Greek verb 4100 pisteuo which was 239 times translated into various tenses of English “believe” stem from Greek verb 3982 peitho meaning to persuade or convince. Thousands of grammatical subjects other than God persuade and convince their grammatical objects to believe and have faith in utter nonsense as exemplified by Matthew 27:20 where grammatical subjects “the chief priests and elders persuaded” their grammatical objects “the multitude”  “that they should ask Barabbas and destroy Jesus”.   

English “this ignorance” in Acts 17:30 was translated from Greek noun 52 agnoia from a compound of negative particle a synonymous with English “un” or “not” and noia being God’s spiritual thoughts.  

English “to repent” in Acts 17:30 was 34 times correctly translated from Greek verb 3340 metanoeo which is pertinent because it is in the past or present tense from a compound of Greek preposition meta and noeo being flesh thoughts and feelings. Greek meta was very hard for me to wrap my head around because it means both “with” and “after”. Grammatical objects of God as their only grammatical subject are “with” God during this earth age. Grammatical objects of religion or any grammatical subject other than God repent “after” during the “thousand years” that will occur between this earth age and the eternal earth age that follows “after”. English “repentance” was translated from Greek 3341 metanoia which is the present or future tense of Greek verb 3340 metanoeo. Greek 3341 metanoia is a compound of Greek preposition meta and noia being God’s Spiritual thoughts.

English “we are” in Acts 17:29 was translated from Greek verb 5225 huparcho from a compound of Greek preposition 5259 hupo meaning “under” [in the genitive case] as a grammatical object is under their grammatical subject and Greek verb 756 archomai  84 times translated into various tenses of English begin. Greek verb 756 archomai  is the middle voice of Greek verb 757 archo which was translated into English “to rule over” and “to reign over”.  

English “ought” in Acts 17:29 was translated from Greek verb 3784 opheilo which is the debt “we owe” relative to the price God paid on the cross. Greek verb 756 archomai designates the beginning of our service “under” God and continuation is predicated upon our inclination and ability to pay the debt we owe.

English “graven” in Acts 17:29 was fully defined in prior posts.

English “by art” in Acts 17:29 was mistranslated from Greek noun 5078 techne  which was better translated into “their occupation” in Acts 18:3 and into “craft” in Revelation 18:22.

English “mans” and “device” in Acts 17:29 were fully defined in prior posts.

English “worshiped” in Acts 17:25 was 1 time mistranslated from Greek verb 2323 therapeuo which was 38 times correctly translated into various tenses of English “heal”.

English “poets” in Acts 17:28 was once mistranslated from Greek noun 4163 poietes which was 5 times correctly translated into singular and plural “doer” “doers” in Romans 2:13 James 1:22 1:23 1:25 and 4:11.

Romans 9:21says: “Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour”? English “honour” was translated from Greek noun 5092 time meaning “value” relative to the price God paid on the cross. English “dishonour” was translated from Greek noun 819 atimia meaning “no value” relative to the price God paid on the cross. God makes it clear to the “election” God said “I have reserved to myself” that God the potter has “power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel” of value and another vessel of no value pursuant to God’s will. God’s will is fully defined in previous posts. God’s “election” can’t puff themselves up with pride because they understand that they are simply a vessel God created to do God’s will and also understand that God could have just as easily chosen another lump of clay.

English “thoughts” in Hebrews 4:12 was translated from Greek noun 1761 enthumesis while “intents” in Hebrews 4:12 was translated from Greek noun 1771 ennoia both enthumesis and ennoia are from a compound of Greek en which is synonymous with English “in” the second part of ennoia is noia being God’s spiritual thoughts while the second part of enthumesis is thumos which was 15 times correctly translated into English “wrath” which is one of the “plagues” noted “If any man shall add unto” “the things which are written in this book” “God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book” as documented in the last four verses of the bible “If any man shall add unto” or “if any man shall take away from the words of the book”. Greek noun 2372 thumos is from Greek verb 2380 thuo meaning to immolate.

English “graven” in Acts 17:29 below was translated from Greek noun 5480 charagma which was translated into English “mark” in Revelation 13:16, 13:17, 14:9, 14:11, 15:2, 16:2, 19:20 and 20:4. If you understand none of God’s other biblical spiritual truth I heartily recommend that you study Greek noun 5480 charagma and understand that the “beast” in Revelation 13:16, 13:17, 14:9, 14:11, 15:2, 16:2, 19:20 and 20:4 is any grammatical subject other than God.
