God Defines Greek Verb 2852 Kolaphizo

English “ye be buffeted for” emboldened in 1Peter 2:20 was translated from Greek verb 2852 kolaphizo that subjectively means to hit someone with one’s fist and objectively means to be hit with someone’s fist. God probably brought us here because he thought people less ancient than he and myself might misconstrue being “buffeted” with being taken to a dinner buffet, rather than being hit in the face. Fact is, “ye be buffeted for” was correctly translated from Greek verb 2852 kolaphizo in the eyes of ancients.
