God Defines Greek Adjective 1228 Diabolos

English “devil” emboldened in James 4:7 was translated from Greek adjective 1228 diabolos from a compound of Greek preposition 1223 dia denoting the channel of an act and Greek verb 906 ballo that best represents God’s definition translated into “cast” and “should be cast” in Matthew 5:29 and 30 in the context of Matthew 5:27-30. Understand the “adultery” of verse 27 has nothing to do with verse 28. God is using verse 28 to help us understand that human beings who believe differently than themselves deserve to burn like bacon in excruciating pain for all eternity have already committed immolation and spiritual adultery against God. I will let you judge if the “devil” is just a scapegoat for flesh thoughts and feelings that are opposed to God’s spiritual thoughts and ways.
