English “apparel” and “raiment” emboldened in James 2:2 and “clothing” emboldened in James 2:3 were all mistranslated from Greek feminine noun 2066 esthes that is derived from the feminine noun 2067 esthesis both of which are predicates of what we ingest either in flesh physical terms or spiritually. God’s apostle James is leading us way out into the weeds or on second thought was leading the flesh thoughts and feelings of flesh bible translators into the weeds because Greek verb 2068 esthio which subjectively means to ingest and objectively means to be ingested was reasonably translated into English “devour” in Hebrews 10:27 “But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries” so James is leading his “brethren” to an entirely different place than the anticipated flesh thoughts and feelings of translators because “apparel”, “raiment” and “clothing” have nothing to do with Greek feminine noun 2066 esthes Greek feminine noun 2067 esthesis or Greek verb 2068 esthio but everything to do with the flesh thoughts and feelings covering [as apparel] God’s intrinsic spiritual truth. God, through James, is defining God’s “adversaries” for James’ “beloved brethren” “the sons of God” as human beings who cover and hide God’s intrinsic spiritual truth with their own flesh thoughts and feelings.
