English “he shall be holden up” and “to make” “stand” emboldened in Romans 14:4 were both translated from Greek verb 2476 histemi which means for God to cause his servants to stand where and when God wants them pursuant to God’s will as defined in 1Timothy 2:3-6. God’s tools to cause his servants to stand are best defined in Ephesians 6:10-19. Our example was set by God himself in the embodiment of Jesus Christ. While carrying his cross to his crucifixion “Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands” “Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee”?
