God’s Promise Is God’s Spirit

1John 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

English “promise” emboldened in 1John 2:25 was translated from Greek feminine noun 1860 epangelia from Greek verb 1861 epangellomai which was translated into English “hath promised” in 1John 2:25. Both Greek feminine noun 1860 epangelia and Greek verb 1861 epangellomai are from a compound of Greek preposition 1909 epi denoting superimposition and Greek masculine noun 32 angelos being the angel of God. Technically the promise was the Comforter of John 15:26 “But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me”.

English “us” emboldened in 1John 2:25 refers to God’s “seven thousand” “chosen” “elect” “election” “saints” “sons” and future “priests” and “ministers” of God.
