God Defines His Dwelling Place

English “patient” emboldened in Romans 12:12 “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;” was translated from Greek verb 5278 hupomeno which is from a compound of Greek preposition 5259 hupo and Greek verb 3306 meno.  Greek preposition 5259 hupo means under in the genitive case as grammatical objects are under their grammatical subject. Greek preposition 5259 hupo was mistranslated into English “of ” in “Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God” and “But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts” and “But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth”. Greek verb 3306 meno meaning to stay in a given place was translated into “abide” “remain” and “continue” in “Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father” and into “abideth” and “abide” in “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him” into “abideth” in “Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him” into “remaineth” in “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God” Greek verb 3306 meno is the verb version of Greek feminine noun 3438 mone which is the human dwelling place of God’s Holy Spirit.  Greek feminine noun 3438 mone was translated into English “our abode” in John 14:23 “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him”.
