Greek feminine noun 4102 pistis and Greek verb 4100 pisteuo are both predicates of Greek verb 3982 peitho meaning to persuade. Greek verb 3982 peitho was translated into English “persuaded” in Matthew 27:20 “But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus”. The “chief priests” and church “elders” were the grammatical subjects who “persuaded” their grammatical objects “the multitude” to “destroy Jesus”. The bible makes it clear that grammatical subjects other than God persuade their grammatical objects to believe and have faith in things contrary to God’s spiritual truth. God implores us in 2Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”. Contrarily, the world’s 4,351 religions use faith as a cudgel to dissuade their grammatical objects from questioning religious dogma. God persuades “seven thousand” “election” to believe and have faith in God alone. Faith and belief in the world’s 4,351 religions is of no consequence to God, it is just among God’s criteria that removes those human beings from God’s process pursuant to God’s will.
