Ephesians 1:3-10 says “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” “according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love” “Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will” “to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved” “in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace” “wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence” “having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself” “that in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him”. Ephesians 1:10 is an integral part of God’s process pursuant to God’s will. God’s will is clearly defined in 1Timothy 2:3-4 1Timothy 4:10 John1:9 Romans 8:21 Romans 11:32 Romans 14:10-12 Acts 24:15 Luke 3:6 and 2Peter 3:9. The “Lord’s day” is a “thousand years” which shall occur between this earth age and the eternal age that follows, as God documented in 2Peter 3:8-13 “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up” “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness” “Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat” “Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness”. We human beings can serve one of two roles during the “thousand years” “Lord’s day” {1} “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years”. {2} “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God” “For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope” “Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God”. “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour” “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth”.
