Election Worship God Alone

English “ungodly” in Romans 5:6 was reasonably translated from Greek adjective 765 asebes which accurately depicts effect but we need to understand cause. Greek adjective 765 asebes is from a compound of Greek negative particle 1 a synonymous with English “un” or “not” and Greek verb 4576 sebo subjectively meaning to venerate in the sense of revering and worshiping and objectively means to be venerated and revered and worshipped. This is one of the rare instances in which God’s “seven thousand” “election” perform the action of the verb 4576 sebo and God is the recipient of the action performed. Greek verb 4576 sebo was translated into English “they do worship” in Matthew 15:9 “But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men” and into “do they worship” in Mark 7:7 “Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men”. There are 4,351 world religions because they are all guilty of differently “teaching for doctrines the commandments of men” who established those 4,351 religions. No wonder the Apostle Paul said: “For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ”. There is very little biblical evidence that God judges against physical promiscuity but there is a plethora of evidence that God judges spiritual promiscuity harshly subsequent to the price paid on a Roman cross. No wonder God created His own church: “To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect” who worship none of the world’s 4,351 religions but venerate, revere and worship God alone as their one and only grammatical subject.
