God’s Promise

Romans 4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

English “promise” in Romans 4:14 was translated from Greek noun 1860 epangelia from Greek verb 1861 epangellomai which was translated into English “promised” in Romans 4:21 to follow. Both Greek noun 1860 epangelia and Greek verb 1861 epangellomai are from a compound of Greek preposition 1909 epi denoting superimposition and Greek noun 32 angelos correctly translated 179 times into English “angel”. God’s definition of Greek noun 1860 epangelia is best expressed in Acts 2:23 “Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear”. Abraham’s seed are not Abraham’s flesh descendents but rather God’s “seven thousand” “election” best explained in Romans 9:6-28  Galatians 3:14-19, 29   Ephesians 1:13  and Hebrews 6:12-20.
