Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
English “bondage” in Romans 8:15 above and in Romans 8:21 to follow were both translated from Greek noun 1397 douleia. God’s “election” who “have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear” in Romans 8:15 are segregated from those who “also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God” in Romans 8:21.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
The apostle Paul is the “he” in “But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel” with English “chosen” being translated from Greek noun 1589 ekloge which was translated into English “election” in Romans 11:5, 7 and 28. Romans 11:5’s “Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace” are those God said in Romans 11:4 “I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal”. Acts 9:15 identifies Paul as one of God’s “seven thousand” “election”. English “our” and “we” in Romans 8:16 identify God’s “election” as “the children of God” and “heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ” in Romans 8:17 to follow.
