Romans 11:5: “Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace”.

English “election” in Romans 11:5 above and 11:7 below were correctly translated from Greek noun 1589 ekloge.  Greek verb 1586 eklegomai was translated into various tenses of English“choose” and “choice”. Greek adjective 1588 eklektos was 16 times translated into “elect” and 7 times into “chosen”. Greek noun 1589 ekloge was 6 times translated into English “election” and once into English “chosen”. God alone performs the action of Greek verb 1586 eklegomai and God’s “election” God’s “chosen” God’s “elect” receive the action “choice” whichGod performs. The “election” of Romans 11:5 are those “who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal” God said “I have reserved to myself” in Romans 11:4 and Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of gracepursuant to God’s will.

Romans 11:6: And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work”.
